The line gives a group room to match the airplane to its budget: the lighter SR20 is the more attainable entry for training and regional trips, while the SR22 adds the power, payload, and speed for serious cross-country travel — both with the same panel and parachute. Beyond the usual hangar and insurance, the periodic CAPS parachute repack is the one big-ticket item unique to a Cirrus, and it is precisely the kind of scheduled cost that splits cleanly and painlessly across partners.
